Wow! It's only day one and I've learned so much! #1) Alcohol on international flights is not free...unless ofcourse are you in first class...damn. #2 Be nice to everyone...you never know who is going to pull Ben Stiller moments.
Rrrrroma. Arriving to the airport,slight chaos. Let's just say that I wish I would have taken the time to learn Rosetta Stone and Rick Steves, love you, but your phrasebook does not cut it. I will say thank god to amazing Mauro; my first host from couchsurfing. So far, so good. He has been so accomodating and helpful. Mauro is a couchsurfing ambassador and hosted an event lastnight at a bar in Trastevere. Lots of Sambuca shots!!! However, I did miss the Vatican Tour this morning, ops:) How cool to meet people from France, Poland, Romania, etc in my first evening. Although English isn't everywhere, American music is! It made me laugh when I walked into a shoe store and Eminem and Rihanna are playing and then Train in the next one.
Today I'm seeking out Truffle gelato:)
